First off, my photos most definitely don’t do this event justice. Dia de los muertos (day of the dead) was an experience greater than anything I could have imagined. The night started off with a group of new friends enjoying a meal at the meat market. All of the boys gladly wore flowered crowns as we chowed down on a plethora of meats with tortillas. I’ve spent the past week and half in the Oaxaca region of Mexico and it’s been a lovely whirlwind! In my first destination, Puerto Escondido, I met a few other travelers and we have been a tag team, meeting up in each city to share some good times.
