Antigua, Guatemala

ANTIGUA:

THE BASICS

A cheerful colonial town bustling with cafes and bars. Easy to walk around and see the sights as well as do some market shopping.

HIGHLIGHT

A Spanish restaurant believe it or not! La Gastroteca, a beautiful restaurant owned by my new friend Lucia (from the yoga training). Her, her partner and her two adorable babies run this delicious joint where mushroom croquettes and fresh paella are not to be missed!

GOOD FOR WORKING REMOTELY

There are cute little cafes everywhere with friendly locals! However, I heard multiple stories about people being robbed while walking alone at night, so I would be careful walking with expensive equipment after dark.

AVERAGE SPENT PER DAY

300 Quetzal...but I definitely was treating myself a couple nights after being at that secluded lake for so long!

WOULD I COME BACK

This seems to be a big hub for Guatemala, so I'm sure I will be back soon!
