San Juan (again), Nicaragua
San Juan Del Sur: My second time visiting San Juan del Sur, this time for a weekend long acro-yoga intensive workshop. This town is full of expats and travelers of all kinds. I met a really nice crew of people and it was a tough place to leave! THE BASICS A once fishermen village turned into a party backpacker town. With a bar on every corner, this place is a dangerous vortex that can get difficult to leave. With that said, its about a 20 minute shuttle ride to the nearest su

Ometepe, Nicaragua
Ometepe was not my favorite place. A quiet island on a very large lake, this area is tropical and has interesting wildlife, but not much culture or liveliness to it. I would come back only with a group or for a specific activity. I'm also jaded from seeing too many lakes and volcanoes recently ;). To reduce the amount of concrete, this school was built with plastic bottles filled with plastic bags. My $15 bungalow in the jungle. Equipped with thousands of GIANT killer spiders

Popoyo, Nicaragua
Popoyo was one of those perfect travel experiences where just the right people show up and make the moment that much more memorable. In route to Magrock, a higher-end hostel/hotel on the beach, I pick up an Australian surfer on the side of the road walking to the same place. We arrive to each have our own hostel dorm rooms, and almost no other guests. The following days consisted of surfing, perfect sunsets and breathtaking stargazing. Playing around with silks. Magnificent R

New Years in San Juan Del Sur was definitely full of glitter.
As I dozed off on the shoulder of a polish girl I'd met only two nights before, I realized how lucky I am to have figured out this travel life. We had been in a bit of a rush all day, lugging our suitcases through planes, taxis, boats and now a chicken bus in route to the pacific town of San Juan del sur in time to catch New Years. Two complete strangers but felt as though we were best friends. Napping on a bus among the locals. We arrived just in time to be glittered and par

Why do people work in cubicles? Why?!
Its crunch time as I put the finishing touches on a website that needs to launch once CES in Vegas is over! #nicaragua #officespaces

Little Corn! Take me back!
Little Corn: The more I travel, the more I find running a design business, being my own travel agent, and being a travel blogger is becoming a bit much (not to mention trying to enjoy where I am). Bear with me while I find the balance of the three. For now, a streamlined version of where I've been scoping out. THE BASICS Less traveled Caribbean paradise. Catch it while you still can! Not only is this place blowing up on travel blogs, its beach is disappearing as the ocean ris

Granada, Nicaragua
Granada: THE BASICS Colorful tourist-driven town full of churches. Worth a stop through for a couple days, but not a whole lot to see here. HIGHLIGHTS - I did the most recommended boat tour of the nearby islands in Lake Nicaragua, and it was nice. Other than that I don't think there is much to do here. Get a massage, eat some over-priced tourist food and relax a bit. GOOD FOR WORKING REMOTELY Yes. Cafes with good wifi everywhere. AVERAGE SPENT PER DAY $800 Cordoba. Sleep, eat
